Amanda Hough's design ethos was forged on the road. Decades of world travel connect her American Southwest early years, East Coast education at RISD, and current life raising two little boys on California’s Pacific Coast. Curiosity & adventure have always been her greatest teachers.
She spent two decades in design, print, and color direction for active apparel and lifestyle brands, building a design compass calibrated by corporate sprints and an innate pull toward beauty off the beaten path. Her unique design language draws from that full arc: high desert and Pacific shore, boardroom and a backcountry trail, the exhilaration of summits and the quiet reckoning of valleys.
That balance defines her work. Wild, saturated washes of color meet intentional white linework that reclaims negative space, carves light, and turns emptiness into energy. This defines her visual philosophy, rooted in learning where to leave space for magic to happen. Her pieces are maps of a life in motion, made by someone most alive at the edge between storm and stillness, structure and wilderness.
